LMI Solar Program

Part of the Philadelphia Energy Authority’s core mission includes making clean energy and energy efficiency technologies more accessible and affordable to all citizens of Philadelphia.

In the next round of Solarize Philly, PEA is launching a subsidized financing option for low- and moderate-income households. Subsidized financing will be available to 45 households as a pilot program, and additional households will receive benefits as funding becomes available. Participants will still be expected to finance a portion of the project, and financing for a variety of credit profiles will be made available. The first group of subsidized households will be selected by April 1st.

Qualifying households must have incomes between 150% of the Federal Poverty Level and 80% of Area Median Income (see the table below). Households must have a roof less than 7 years old and may not be on a PECO CAP rate. Further details will follow in early 2018.
